In blank stare news, Diddy attempted to confront a club goer Saturday night for not drinking Ciroc. Could you imagine minding your Grey Goose business when Diddy throws a glass of Ciroc at you? First off Diddy, I’m going to need you to have all the seats available on the last train to Paris.
I spent my Friday night downloading mixtapes from Henry Adaso’s 10 Best Mixtapes of 2011 list. Other than Houston’s own Delo and The Voice of the Young South Big KRIT, I was not familiar with any of the mixtapes on the list. I am getting familiar with Fashawn’s Higher Learning Vol. 2 as I write this post, actually. Interesting.
Moving Along. Considering you care so much about my opinion, I’ve decided to let you know what mixtapes I think you should have in 2011, in no particular order:
There has to be a rule written somewhere that states one must have a Big KRIT tape in the deck if he’s riding a slab, or as Big KRIT calls it, A “Time Machine”. If you enjoy the Country Rap tunes from Pimp C and the social commentary of David Banner, you’d appreciate Big KRIT (King Remembered In Time).
Favorite Song: Rotation, Made Alot, Time Machine, Players Ballad, Another Naive Individual Glorifying Greed and Encouraging Racism (YES! they are all my favorite, sue me)
When I was introduced to Frank Ocean I had no idea who Odd Future was. I was also told that Frank Ocean was a hybrid Drake. Well, I didn’t get Drake AT ALL!
Favorite Song: We All Try
Delo- Hood Politics 2: Acknowledgement
Hands Down the Best mixtape from Houston in 2011. Delo is authentic, and unlike most rappers, I believe him.
Favorite Song: AAAGGGGGGGHHH
Young Jeezy (Feat. @2Chainz) - Count It Up Remix
Jeezy welcome back! We miss you. I am willing to put all of Young Jeezy’s trash mixtapes, that he has put out over the past year, behind me if he continues to make bangers like this! Adding 2Chainz gets my vote. Watch “Count It Up” video below:
