Its No secret that the BET Cyphers are the most anticipated segment of the Hip Hop awards. So here we go, the good, the bad, and the ugly:

After being name “Man Of The Year” by The Source Magazine, Rick Ross is at a point in his career where there’s only one way to go; down. Rick Ross could either get lazy with the success he’s garnered or breeze into the elite class of MCs. In December, Def Jam pushed Rick Ross’ highly anticipated album God Forgives I Don’t so Rick Ross drops Rich Forever to hold us over.
The Good: “They say I’m getting money Must be illuminati/ talking to the holy ghost in my Bugatti/ he knocking at the door don’t let the devil in!!” I don’t know whose idea it was to get Diddy on Ross’ mixtape interludes but the idea changed Ross’ career, no exaggeration. It’s impossible to not lose your mind while Diddy is talking cash shit and Ross is flowing with so much enthusiasm. Beat Billionaire & Rick Ross collaborations flows like water once again with “MMG Untouchable” “Yella Diamonds” and “I Swear To God.” “Triple Beam Dreams” serves as Ross’ plea to Nas to hire him as an A&R. That’s #noshade. We all know Nas couldnt choose a good beat even if Kelis agreed to give all the child support money back. Nas! What are you thinking?? Hire this man, NOW.
The Bad:
Friday I sat down with the Power Hour’s Gunna and Dj A Plus at 90.3 Underground Hit List and among many topics we discussed the push back of God Forgives, I Don’t. I brought up that pushing Ross’ album back is the resurrection of Jeezy’s career. He now has “breathing room” so to speak. What do you think?
